hvac Service Technician

OVERVIEW: Locates and diagnoses HVAC problems on residential equipment, conducts warranty services and quickly performs emergency repairs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC units.
  • Provide advice on the best solution for the customer.
  • Sells products and services.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
  • Keep your truck inventory up to date.
  • Properly complete paperwork.
  • Maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
  • Having and maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Participating in training allows you to grow and develop as a professional.
  • Educating and assisting customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

  • Having knowledge of HVAC codes and proper application; knowledge of proper electrical and HVAC safety.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to customer questions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment.
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have strong math skills.

OVERVIEW: As a qualified candidate you will: install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all general electrical in-home service calls.
  • Establish customer trust and rapport to provide the best options regarding the right products and services.
  • Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
  • Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
  • Show yourself as a professional and knowledgeable technician to gain new referrals andrepeat business.
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure the overall success of thebusiness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, meetings and trade shows and retreats.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

  • Previous experience in related field.
  • Valid Driver’s license with clean driving records.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must possess knowledge of mechanical and electrical codes.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of local electrical codes and the ability to make on-the-job applications.
  • Proven track record in electrical techniques including electrical hardware, junction boxesand circuit breaker units, trace lines, and reading wiring diagrams.
  • Clean, safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
